Tachinid Flies

  1. The tachinid fly's a parasite by
  2. Laying its eggs on an insect-like host;
  3. From eggs come a fry which makes the host die
  4. By going inside and eating out most.
  5. The larvae when grown leave hosts they have known
  6. And drop to the ground on a long silk thread,
  7. And lying there prone in brown pupa tone
  8. In 10 days become a black fly instead.
  9. The tachinid fly I'm sure's justified
  10. But parasites seem to represent sin;
  11. This insect whereby, with 2 big red eyes,
  12. Invades my senses and eats my within.
