Tachinid Flies
- The tachinid fly's a parasite by
- Laying its eggs on an insect-like host;
- From eggs come a fry which makes the host die
- By going inside and eating out most.
- The larvae when grown leave hosts they have known
- And drop to the ground on a long silk thread,
- And lying there prone in brown pupa tone
- In 10 days become a black fly instead.
- The tachinid fly I'm sure's justified
- But parasites seem to represent sin;
- This insect whereby, with 2 big red eyes,
- Invades my senses and eats my within.
