Train-the-Trainer Sessions for Naturalists

During 2002-2004, we conducted train-the-trainer sessions for naturalists at several host institutions. Attendees received all of the training and materials needed to bring the project to their own nature centers or other informal science education institutions. Costs of attending these workshops were covered by the MLMP, and all cooperating institutions (those that send a naturalist to a training session) received a museum-quality display board on monarchs and the MLMP. In return, naturalists or nature centers agreed to train volunteers to monitor at either their institution or at another site chosen by the volunteer.

For more information on the train-the-trainer sessions, download our brochure on these training sessions, or contact Karen Oberhauser.
